General terms & conditions

  1. Competitions are open to anyone over the age of 18 based in the UK except for employees of Wychwood and connected companies. One entry per email address per competition unless otherwise stated.
  2. All competitions either have a closing date or provide a set number of prizes a month.
  3. Participants of competitions on wychwood.co.uk & wychwood.com are expected to pay their own cost of connecting to the web site and any advertised mobile text costs with any network provider and data transfer extras where-ever appropriate.
  4. Winners of the competition will be notified by e-mail by the date shown above. Should the e-mail bounce, an attempt to contact the customer will also be made by phone. If contact cannot be made within one month, the prize will be lost. Prizes will be sent by default to the customer's registered address. It is the winner's responsibility to notify Wychwood of any change in address.
  5. Prizes are as stated. No cash alternative is offered.
  6. We do not accept any responsibility for any entries that are lost, damaged or delayed as a result of network, system development, computer or telecommunication failures or faults of any kind including any hardware, programming code, databases or software which has been used in any of the competitions.
  7. Winners of the competitions may be displayed on the web site as title surname from area e.g. Mr Jones from Birmingham.
  8. All competitions may be subject to additional rules.

Band Terms and Conditions

The Prize

  • The opportunity for your band to play live on the Hobgoblin New Blood Stage at the Bloodstock Open Air Festival in August 2017.
  • The prize is as stated and is subject to confirmation by the organisers of the Bloodstock Festival.
  • You will be given the opportunity to play for 30 minutes, with the precise details being agreed nearer the performance date.
  • No cash or other alternatives are available.
  • The winning act must provide all of their own musical instruments and equipment and are responsible for the cost of travelling to the event venue and for the cost of accommodation.

How to Enter

  • To enter the competition you must be a band. There is no limit to the number of people in the band. However, all members of the band must be aged 18 or over as at 14th December 2016. There is no upper age limit.
  • You will not be able to enter if the band is signed to any recognised record label, or part of a major distribution deal, or if you are an employee of the Promoter, family member of an employee or professionally involved with this promotion.
  • Add a video of your band playing one song only to the Wychwood website: www.wychwood.co.uk/M2TM. Multiple entries by the same band are not allowed.
  • Only original material will be accepted, no cover versions, tributes or copies.
  • The Promoter will moderate all videos for visual and lyrical content before being published on the website. Any songs containing foul, abusive, discriminatory, racist, sexist or overtly sexual language will not be published. Likewise if the visual element of any song contains any inappropriate behaviour, the song will not be published. The decision of the Promoter in these matters is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • The Promoter will not sell on to any other party or profit in any way from any of the songs it receives for the competition. All songs entered remain the property of the submitting band, but the act of entering the competition by submitting your song constitutes your permission for the song to be displayed on www.wychwood.co.uk the Promoter’s other websites, http://www.bloodstock.uk.com/ and Facebook and Twitter pages for the purposes of this competition.
  • Videos can be uploaded between 14th December 2016 and 8th July 2017. You will not be able to upload your video after 8th July 2017.

Public Vote

  • The prize winner will be determined by a public vote and an independent panel. The top 20 bands from the public vote will be adjudicated by the Bloodstock Metal 2 the Masses independent panel, who will announce the final winner.
  • Voting shall take place between 09:00 hours on 14th December 2016 and 24.00 hours on 15th July 2017. Voters will be able to view and vote for all uploaded videos that have met the above condition.
  • The prize winning act will be announced on 19th July 2017.
  • Voting is open to anyone aged 18 or over. Any votes received after 15th July 2017 shall not be counted.

The Promoter

  • The Promoter is Marston’s PLC, (through its trading division Marston’s Beer Company) with its registered office at: Coniston House, Chapel Ash, Wolverhampton, WV3 0BF.
  • The winning act gives permission to the Promoter to use them and their winning song in any publicity material for the purposes of marketing its brand Hobgoblin.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to amend, alter or cancel the promotion without prior notice, if necessary, due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control. The Promoter’s decision is final in all matters relating to the promotion, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • It is not the intention of this promotion in any way to encourage people to consume excessive amounts of alcohol.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to terminate or temporarily suspend without notice this promotion in the event of technical or other difficulties that might compromise its integrity.
  • The Promoter accepts no responsibility for inability to access the website.
  • The Promoter cannot accept responsibility for the cancellation of the Bloodstock Festival.
  • Please retain these terms and conditions for your reference.
  • These terms and conditions are governed by English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

Voting Terms and Conditions

  1. This promotion is open to all residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 or over, except employees of the Promoter, their families and anyone professionally involved with this promotion. If you are a non-UK resident, your vote will still be counted but you will not be entered into the prize draw.
  2. To enter, vote for your favourite band performance on www.wychwood.co.uk/M2TM and fill out your details (name, date of birth, valid email address, postal address and contact number).
  3. Voting will commence on 14th December 2016 and the closing date for voting is 15th July 2017
  4. Strictly one vote per person per day.
  5. Winners will be selected at random and can win one of the following available prizes: 15 x pairs Bloodstock Weekend Camping tickets with access to VIP Serpents lair bar; 75 x Festival Flags, 100 x case (8x500ml) Hobgoblin beer; 500 x T-shirts.
  6. Winners will be selected at random, instantly after placing their vote.
  7. No cash or other alternative prizes are available, except in the event of circumstances outside of the Promoter’s control, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute similar alternatives of equal or greater value.
  8. The name of winners can be obtained by writing to Hobgoblin presents Bloodstock M2TM Video Upload Band Search Competition, Wychwood Brewery, Eagles Industrial Estate, The Crofts, Witney, Oxfordshire, OX28 4DP.
  9. Winners may be required to participate in related publicity without further recompense.
